The Raid: Redemption 5/28/2012
Usually i don’t post movie reviews here, but i had to make exception for this.  Raid, is an Indonesian action film which showcases the Indonesian martial art Pencak Silat.  It is similar to muay thai movie Ong-Bak: Thai Warrior.  Nevertheless it had its own unique style with more hand weapons.  It is not stop action from beginning to end.  I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of martial arts movies.

The 4 Point Play: 15 Things You Should Give Up To Be Happy

Here is a list of 15 things which, if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and much, much happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering – and instead of letting them all go, instead of allowing ourselves to be stress free…

After passing by it so many times, finally decided to get it.

“There were burning microphone stands, flamethrower microphones, percussion cannons, dozens of flame pots that shot towers of fire and smoke into the air and more explosions than a half-decent Canada Day fireworks display all on a stage that looked like a bomb hit it. Arena rock shows don’t really come any more epic than this.”

Music writer Rob Williams’ review of the sensory onslaught that was last night’s Rammstein concert: http://wfp.to/u3s

Came across this at the arena, can’t wait till September

Rammstein @Mts centre. 5/10/12 I can recall Rammstein as being one of a few bands that really got me interested in heavy metal. Their single, ‘du hast’ was a song that has been one of my favorites all the way back since junior high. Tonight’s concert was very surprising, a lot of energy and enthusiasm for this band, that has been performing since 1985. Oh yes, the pyro and light show was astounding, I have never seen so much random explosions/fire at a concert. One thing that I really appreciated was how humble, and thankful they were at the end of the show. I was expecting them to be pompous and ready to leave as soon as they were done, but they thanked the crowd and showed them that they really appreciated them. I really hate it when some bands just leave without saying goodbye/thank you to the audience. If I get the chance to see them again, I would shell out the $130 for floor tickets. A concert like that should be experienced from the floor, wait a minute what am I talking about,’ all concerts are best viewed on the floor. I’m just to cheap to pay for full price tickets, ha.
